I recently found and joined the following forum and have found it to be extremely helpful. There are beginners like myself and others with well-established profitable vending businesses. Everyone I've talked to has been very helpful.

Finding a location!

Okay, so today at 2:00pm I set out to find a location for 1 of our gumball/candy machines!
I went to two locations. The first one was the office for our apt. complex. They told me that they are not interested, but thanked me for asking them!
"I thought,, okay...Well maybe the next location!"
I told her thank you for your time, and left!
The next location was a grocery store.
I asked to speak with the manager. So she called him out and I introduced myself, telling him who I am and who I am with and he told me from the begining that he is not interested but also thanked me for stopping by!
So strike two, but I am not backing out! Tomorrow is another day!

Remodeled one machine
So my wife and I went to Home Depot and bought some sand paper, red paint and black paint!
I then took apart one of our machines and I did some work on it! I did some sand papering, painted it a beautiful red color with a black stand!
I also put in the new lock that I had ordered for it!
It really looks like a brand new machine!
We are really excited!!!

The Big Day!

My wife and I purchased our first two machines!
We both are excited about this business!
Although, when I arrived back at home, my wife and I discovered that they are not what we had expected!
They both need to be worked on, painted and need keys! So we went ahead and got online and we ordered the keys for the two machines, which should arrive sometime at the end of this week!
On top of that we still have not found a nice place to put our machines!
We realized that starting out in a new business is not as easy as you may think it to be!
But it still was a great deal and my wife and I are not giving up!

The Next Step
The past few weeks we have been playing with the idea about taking the next step in life. I have always had the entrepreneurial spirit, but never found anything that felt right to pursue. Last month, my wife and I were out and saw some people feeding quarters into a vending machine. It made us think... http://www.nextstepvending.com/ was born!
